Add a company
To add a company to Sttok, upload its deed of incorporation and click "Read with AI": Sttok fills in the details of the company and its founding shareholders, you check them against the document and create it. Then you record the operations that came after.
Before you start
- The deed of incorporation as a PDF. If you don't have it to hand, you can fill in the details yourself.
- The details of each founding shareholder: name or company name, identity document and how many shares they received.
- If the company has had operations since it was incorporated, their deeds. You will record them when you finish.
Add the company#
- Click "+ Add Company". It is on the home page, the one that lists your companies, at the bottom of the side menu.
- Upload the deed and click "Read with AI". Sttok reads the document, tells you what it has found and fills in the next steps with what it read. Click "Continue" to go on.
- Check the company details. The Company step shows, among other things, the company name, the CIF (tax ID), the registered office, the details of the deed and the share capital. Compare them with the document and correct anything that is wrong.
- Check the shareholders. The Shareholders step shows each founding shareholder with the shares they receive. Check that they are all there and that their figures match the deed.
- Review and create the company. The last step, Review, shows everything together. When you confirm, the company and its founding shareholders are created.
The reading suggests, you decide. What Sttok reads is a starting point: until you click the last button, everything can be changed. Pay particular attention to names, identity documents and figures.
If you don't have the deed#
You can add the company without uploading any document and fill in the same details yourself: the company, its shareholders and the review. The deed can be attached later, from the incorporation operation.
What happens next#
- The company appears among yours and you enter it as an administrator.
- The register of registered shares starts with the incorporation: each founding shareholder with what they received.
- If the company has had capital increases, share transfers or other operations, record them in date order so that the register of registered shares is up to date. You can fill in each one by reading its deed.
- When it is ready, invite your team.
Frequently asked questions#
Which details don't come from the deed of incorporation?
Those that come after the document or are not in it, such as the registration details at the Commercial Registry, or the financial year if the articles of association don't state it. You fill those in yourself.
I made a mistake with a shareholder. Can I change it later?
While you are in the wizard, yes: go back and correct it. Once the company has been created, the incorporation is a recorded operation and what defines the share capital cannot be edited. We explain this in Correct a registered operation.
Does it work for any type of company?
Yes, for a public limited company (sociedad anónima) or a private limited company (sociedad limitada). What changes is the vocabulary: a sociedad anónima has shares (acciones) and a sociedad limitada has participations (participaciones).

- What Sttok is and how it is organized Sttok keeps a company's capital register and governance in one place: shareholders and the register of registered shares, operations, general meetings, the management body, signatures, documents and incentive plans. Each person enters with a role, and that role decides what they see and what they can do.
- Invite other people and give them a role You invite the people who will run the company with you from Settings, in the "Users" tab, with "Add users" and a "Full" or "Limited" access level. Shareholders, directors and beneficiaries are not invited as administrators: their role comes from the register itself.
- Fill in an operation by reading the deed To have Sttok read the deed, choose "Capital increase AI" or "Sale and Purchase AI" in the "Add Operation" menu. You upload the document, click "Read with AI" and Sttok fills in what it says: the dates, the notary, the shares and who takes part. What it reads stays marked until you review it. If you don't want it read, tick "Don't fill in the form with this document".
- Share classes and numbering A class groups the shares that carry the same rights: how many votes they give, their nominal value and whether they have preferences or restrictions. Each share also carries a number, and knowing which numbers belong to whom is what makes it possible to transfer specific shares.
